Enough changes and edits have been made to justify changing the version number to Release Candidate 2. Since I don't want to inundate everyone's mailbox once the true final version is posted, either email me or leave a comment in this post to be included in that email.
The past few days, I've felt like Kirsten Dunst did in that movie about Marie Antoinette when the King, played by Disco Stu from Freaks and Geeks, tells her that her service to her country is complete. That is, I feel that my service to the Whisking Gods is now complete after having WWC burst out of my head fully formed, Athena style. What they forgot to tell you in that story is that there's a good chance that the child will be obnoxious and malformed.
Such as it is that every time I look at WWC, two or three glaring typos or errors leap out at me like the Ghost of *Beep* Past. Even recipes that I wrote years ago and swore that I've picked over contain problems. Sigh. I'm still glad that I put it out there but in the next week or so will go through every page again and then release a final final copy. As I go through this process, if you find any glaring typos or logical errors (e.g. bake the roulade in the refrigerator) please email me to let me know.
Dear New, Current, Former, and Ethereal Acquaintances:
Phooeyhoo.com is pleased to announce Release Candidate 1 of Whisking with Chlamydia, a.k.a. the official cookbook of phooeyhoo.com. Some (me included) thought that this day would never come. Most prayed really hard that this day would never come.
As with most things in life, this announcement is riddled with the fake handshake. This isn't the final release as I'm sure I'll find typos and add and edit some things within the next month or so. However, I'm happy to delude myself by calling it the final release as this thing was supposed to be released 4 years ago.
Former acquaintances will know exactly what to expect from this release. New acquaintances should be prepared to enter the strange and convoluted world otherwise known as the thoughts that kept me out of the best colleges.
I'm quite late in sharing this with my dedicated group of 4 readers. This music video won the VMWare grand prize for best video about, well, VMWare. It was filmed at the Friday Institute, the state of the art facility where I work. Music and lyrics are by Lodge McCammon and that's Brian, also of FI Fame, in the actual video. Beware, though! The tune is actually quite catchy even if you don't know anything about virtual machines.
